SEPARATION

It’s human nature to want connection with others.  As a leader, you understand the importance of sacrificing your own pleasure for the good of your squad. Your squad wants you to lead them to make them a better squad. They don’t want a friend, they want a leader.

• Avoid the Friend Zone
• Eat lunch separately and alone
• Don’t joke
  • Joking is typically a way inexperienced leaders try to earn respect
• Hold yourself to a higher standard than the squad
