How to Get People to Listen to You

I’m their boss, why aren’t they listening to me?

Incorrect Thinking:

  • This person needs to respect me.
  • They need to listen to me now that I have a radio.

As a leader, the majority of your time should be acting in a way that will earn, gain or maintain respect from the people you are responsible for.

  • This is done in conjunction with your regular tasks and responsibilities

The difference is you do every task better than you would otherwise do
